It is vital that your Rottweiler is well trained.   With the unfortunate bad press for the breed in recent years, it is every owners responsibility to ensure that their dog is a worthy ambassador for the breed.

It's amazing how many anti-rottweiler people you can convert with one well trained one.

It is of paramount important that your Rottweiler is well socialised and well behaved - we are in a position where we can't afford any mistakes!  There are many differing ways of training and through experience, we stick with what works.  There are some key rules to our training that we adhere to:

  • We do not advocate choke chains, prong collars or other hands on harsh methods.

  • All our training is done through kind, effective methods which reinforce the dogs pack position and give the dog enthusiasm to work with his owner.

  • We are an advocator of clicker training and have found this method of training to be extremely effective with Rottweilers.

In our training section, we will take you through the clicker training principles, equipment that you need and basic training commands.

We will also look at the more advanced training that you can undertake with your Rottweiler.

Remember that the Rottweiler is a working dog and is at his happiest when working with his owner.

If you have any problems or questions at all, please use our Message Forums and we will be pleased to help you.

This part of the site will be one of the largest sections and we are scribbling away at all the material that will go on here!

REMEMBER...

Remember that a Rottweiler is a WORKING dog......

Unoccupied working dogs tend to make their own entertainment at your expense!

We have a duty to ensure that our dogs are well trained.
