Here we feature some toys you can use for retrieval exercises

There is a lot more to come in this section so please bear with us!  We will cover easy retrieve articles and the flatter more difficult ones.

If you go into competitive obedience, it is extremely important that your dog has a clean pick up (no mouthing).

Training Dumb Bell

A little chewed!  These come in differing weights so you can work on the exercise.

Soft, Squeaky Dumb Bell

A good start to gain your dogs interest.

Sisal Bone.

Made of the same sort of sisal used for carpets.

Quite a weight for a retrieve toy but don't leave it with your dog - click on the photo to see the "after Keeper" result!

Competitive Obedience....

If you are hoping to go into competitive obedience with your dog, it's important that he has a clean pick up on a variety of things.  Use household objects for retrieves so he gets the feel for different shapes.

Use your dog's favourite toy to teach the command then work onto other objects.
