Activity
toys are ones which the dog needs to work at to get the treats.
Take
a look at the Kong Range as all of these
are interactive toys. Here
we look at a couple of others.
Roll-a-Treat Ball
The ball has a middle centre which
can be twisted and pulled out to clean it.
The dog must roll the ball around
to force the treats out of the opening.
This didn't stand up to Keeper
(Doris's featured!) - he just wrenched the middle out. Suppose he
was using his brain!
Treat Ball
As you can probably tell - this is
Keeper's!
It has stood the Keeper test
remarkably well (apart from being a bit battered). Exactly the same
principle, the dog must roll it around to get the treats.
Buster Cube
This is a novel variation on treat
balls but is square to make it more difficult!
Plush Puppies do a good range of soft interactive toys but play must
always be supervised with these:
and others. We will be publishing photos of
these shortly (when the dogs will give them back...)
but in the meantime you can click on the Intellibee
to see Grace in action!
